Motor around...   [Intro] [Two of a Kind] [A Legend] [The Restoration]

Fred was 19 years old in early 1963 and was so enamored with his brother’s car that he sought out and found a powder blue MGA at a wholesaler in Chicago. (The MGB’s had been introduced by then and there were only a few new A’s left in the U.S.)

The two MGA’s were photographed by Fred in 1963 in Kokomo, IN, where the brothers grew up. Although Fred had to sell his MG in 1965, he never lost his love of these beautiful sports cars.

Russell drove the 100,000th for only a short time, until a mechanical malfunction stopped the car in 1965 or 1966.
