Motor around...   [Intro] [Two of a Kind] [A Legend] [The Restoration]
When Russell passed away unexpectedly in October of 2000, his daughter, Karen Skomp Harris, who now owned the Springfield, TN property where the car was parked, gave the remains of the car to Fred, who had been wanting and waiting to restore the car as a family heirloom.

The restoration, which began in earnest in February of 2003, was completed in September, 2004.

The 100,000th MGA is now fully restored into “like new” condition, with all gauges, serial number plates having been restored, not replaced. The car has just over 8,000 original miles on its original odometer.
